Actor Jung Yong-hwa recently shared his thoughts on the long-awaited release of his new drama ‘It’s You, Out of Nowhere’.
The press conference for Lifetime channel’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘It’s You, Out of Nowhere’ took place on the afternoon of the 19th at The Saint Wedding in Guro-gu, Seoul. Director Yoon Jong-ho, Jung Yong-hwa, HongμΉν¬ (Hong Seung-hee), Han Chae-ah, and Cho Jae-yun attended the event to share various stories about the production.
‘It’s You, Out of Nowhere’ is an unpredictable and eccentric romance about a top male actor with a fatal flaw who meets a mysterious woman convinced that she is the female protagonist of a drama.
Although filming wrapped back in 2022, the drama is finally meeting viewers after a four-year delay. Making his return to the small screen about three years after KBS2’s ‘Brain Works’, Jung Yong-hwa joked, "It’s been quite a while since I did a romantic comedy. I filmed this project and decided not to shoot any other rom-coms afterwards out of loyalty. I waited with the mindset that ‘I will absolutely not film another one until this comes out, even if offers come in,’" bringing laughter to the audience.
He continued, "While working on genre projects, I kept waiting for this work. Being able to present it to everyone again like a gift makes me happy in itself. It is a very fun and warm drama, so I hope many people will love it."
Regarding his reason for deciding to take on the role, he explained, "The title itself is easy to abbreviate. ‘Mit-kkeut-neo’ rolls right off the tongue. I started reading the script wondering what it was, and it felt comfortable while reading it. During the meeting with the director, I found out we are from the same region. Talking together made us click, and I felt I would gain so much from this project, so I still have many excited memories from filming it."
Meanwhile, ‘It’s You, Out of Nowhere’ is scheduled to premiere on the 24th at 10:50 PM.
