Global girl group KATSEYE has achieved a major milestone by securing their first 1 billion-streaming song on Spotify, according to the streaming platform on the 18th.
Their hit track KATSEYE Gabriela surpassed 1 billion cumulative streams as of the 16th. Released on June 20, 2025, the song reached this milestone just 484 days later, officially entering Spotify’s prestigious ‘Billions Club’.
Global Success and Music Video Popularity
As the pre-release track from their second EP ‘BEAUTIFUL CHAOS’, ‘Gabriela’ captivated global music fans with its refined pop sound, acoustic Latin guitar melodies, and the members’ enchanting vocals. Notably, the music video featuring a surprise appearance by Hollywood top star Jessica Alba is fast approaching 100 million views on YouTube.
The track previously peaked at No. 21 on the US Billboard Hot 100, breaking the group’s personal record at the time, and charted for 28 consecutive weeks. It also demonstrated incredible staying power by ranking on Spotify’s ‘Weekly Top Songs Global’ for 64 weeks.
Continued Momentum and Awards
KATSEYE’s global rise shows no signs of slowing down. Their latest EP ‘WILD’, released in August, topped the Billboard 200, while the b-side track ‘Animal’ surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify in a record 100 days. Furthermore, their success as part of the K-pop production system led by Chairman Bang Si-hyuk has earned them two nominations at the 68th Grammy Awards.
