On a recent broadcast of KBS 2TV’s KCM wedding episode of ‘Superman Returns’, singer KCM and his wife Bang Ye-won shed tears as they finally held their wedding ceremony 15 years after first starting their life together.
During the rehearsal ahead of the ceremony, bride Bang Ye-won expressed her nerves, saying, “I’m already crying.” Unable to hold back the overflowing emotions, she burst into tears, repeating that she just couldn’t stop crying.
In the past, KCM faced immense hardships, including becoming a victim of joint and several guarantee fraud that left him with billions of won in debt and even facing threats against his family. To protect his loved ones from harm, he hid the existence of his wife and two daughters for approximately 12 years.
Having endured those difficult times, the couple finally held a wedding ceremony after 15 years. Watching his wife walk down the aisle, KCM grew teary-eyed and shared, “Watching her walk down the aisle felt like watching 15 years of time walk by. Seeing her walk those 15 years to this point made me think about how much more happily we can walk together in the future.”
The bride also expressed her gratitude to KCM, saying, “Thank you for keeping your promise. You’ve worked hard all this time.”
With a star-studded guest list including host Yoo Jae-seok and congratulatory singers Kim Tae-woo and Kim λ²μ, KCM’s three children put on a special event. The second and third children served as flower children delivering the wedding rings, while their eldest daughter directly performed the wedding march, moving everyone to tears.
KCM remarked, “Usually, people hold weddings before they have children. That’s why I think this is even better and happier. Having Su-yeon, Seo-yeon, and Ha-on made this an unforgettable and much happier wedding. I was so touched.” Bang Ye-won playfully added, “We did well to give birth to them.”
During their wedding vows, KCM expressed his gratitude to his wife, who stayed by his side through thick and thin, saying, “Over 15 years have passed since we first came together. There were joyful days and difficult days, but the person who always stood by my side was you.”
He continued, “Although it is quite late, thank you so much for walking with me until now, and let’s grow old together for the remaining time just like we are now.” Bang Ye-won also shed tears while reading her vows, adding to the touching atmosphere.
Meanwhile, KCM and his wife Bang Ye-won tied the knot on the 4th at Floating Island, Sebitseom, Seoul, 15-years after their initial union, receiving warm congratulations from many.
