From Idol Trainee to Leading Actress
When asked if she enjoyed dancing, Kim Ji-won confessed that she had spent time as an idol trainee preparing for a debut. Reflecting on why she didn’t pursue that path ultimately, she candidly admitted, “I think there were things lacking in various aspects.” Host Jang Do-yeon shared an amusing anecdote from Kim’s training days, recalling that the young Kim once asked, “If Beyoncé can do it, why can’t I?” highlighting her bold and confident nature even at a young age.
Her Secret to Energy on Set
Fellow guest Lee Jung-eun praised Kim’s singing ability, noting that she often hums on set. Kim clarified, “It’s not because I’m a great singer. I use singing as ‘labor songs’ when my energy levels drop. When I start singing, it means I’m quite exhausted.” She explained that she uses music to boost her tension during grueling scenes, such as intense medical operation sequences, and maintains a deep love for K-pop, often singing along to the latest hits to keep her spirits high during long filming days.
