Kim Ji-won recently captured the hearts of the production team during her first-ever solo variety show appearance on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block.’
During the preview clip released on April 1, MC Yoo Jae-suk warmly welcomed Kim Ji-won, noting that this was her first solo variety show. Kim Ji-won confessed her nervousness, saying, “It’s true. I was so nervous that I woke up suddenly after going to bed last night. I was biting my nails and shaking my legs continuously.”/>
She also shared a funny anecdote: “I want to add 1,000,002 more stories to the senior’s 1,000,000 compliments. To avoid a penalty, the senior literally ripped open the gift wrapping with his teeth. I realized a bit more just how precious teeth are.” In response, Yoo Jae-suk made everyone laugh by saying, “I’m so surprised that this even became a compliment story.”/>
Notably, Kim Ji-won recreated her legendary line from her past drama ‘Fight for My Way’: “I’m not trying to act pretty, I was just born pretty.”
Watching this, Yoo Jae-suk humorously reenacted the glowing, benevolent smiles of the lighting and camera directors, accompanied by on-screen subtitles reading ‘pleased’ and ‘benevolent.’
Afterward, the official ‘You Quiz on the Block’ social media channels also showed special affection by posting a video pictorial of Kim Ji-won with the caption, “Kim Ji-won, who wasn’t trying to act pretty but was born pretty, has descended on You Quiz.”/>
Meanwhile, tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ airs every Wednesday at 8:45 PM KST.
