The Korea Expo LA kicked off on the 22nd at the Magic Box in downtown Los Angeles, bringing together a vibrant showcase of Hallyu culture, beauty products, and export opportunities.

K-Beauty, Food, and Culture Take Center Stage

Organized by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the three-day expo runs through October 24. On the opening day, more than 2,000 visitorsβ€”including local consumers and social media influencersβ€”explored over 100 booths featuring cutting-edge Korean beauty products, lifestyle goods, and popular instant food tastings.

Instead of a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, the opening event featured attendees waving K-pop idol concert lightsticks to celebrate the launch. LA Consul General Jeong Kang and KITA Senior Managing Director Suk-min Chang delivered welcoming remarks, emphasizing the growing popularity and high quality of Korean goods in the U.S. market.

Global Buyers and Local Fans Flock to the Event

Exhibitors expressed high enthusiasm during the opening day. Representatives from Bullsone noted that diverse multicultural attendees were highly impressed by the meticulous quality of their automotive accessories. Meanwhile, food startups like ‘Ja:yu’ attracted numerous Latin American chefs and food enthusiasts eager to taste Korean spicy sauces and gochujang-based seasonings.

Adding to the excitement, singer Ailee made a special appearance at the venue to interact with excited fans, further elevating the festive atmosphere of the K-culture celebration.
