KRAFTON Ludi 0.2 โ€” New AI System for Robots Reads Human Intentions

KRAFTON Ludi 0.2

KRAFTON Ludi 0.2 has been officially unveiled by Ludo Robotics, the robotics research subsidiary of KRAFTON (led by CEO Chang-han Kim), as a new robot AI system capable of communicating and cooperating with humans.

Ludo Robotics showcased Ludi 0.2 on October 30 (local time) at the ‘2026 Bay Area Robotics Symposium (BARS)’ held at UC Berkeley in the United States.

The presentation was led by Kang-wook Lee, KRAFTON CAIO and CTO of Ludo Robotics. This new version builds upon ‘Ludi 0.1’ released in August, significantly enhancing the robot’s ability to understand human intentions and react dynamically to changing situations. Ludo Robotics is heavily focused on developing ‘Social Intelligence’ in robots.

Ludi 0.2 features upgraded capabilities across five key functions: social intelligence, memory and reasoning, integration of tool manipulation, gesture understanding, and physical movement. Through these advancements, the system can respond to human feedback and gestures while maintaining context and interacting flexibly despite operational or environmental changes.

Additionally, the company is pushing forward with the development of ‘Ludi 1.0’, a next-generation foundation model that integrates environmental perception, conversation, and physical action into a single unified model.

Chang-han Kim, CEO of KRAFTON and Ludo Robotics, stated, ‘Building on our nearly 20 years of experience in creating real-time interactive virtual worlds through gaming, we will create robot AI that can naturally communicate and cooperate with humans in the real world.’

Meanwhile, Ludo Robotics has officially opened its Palo Alto Research Institute in California and plans to expand AI and robotics research and talent exchange alongside its Seoul office.
