Hwang Min-hyun Considers Lead Role
Lee Seop’s Romance has caught the attention of K-drama fans as singer and actor Hwang Min-hyun is in talks to take on the male lead role. On September 15, Pledis Entertainment officially stated to OSEN that the star has only received an offer and nothing has been finalized yet for the series.
Webtoon Adaptation Details
The upcoming drama is based on Kim Eon-hee’s popular webtoon of the same name. The romance story follows Tae Lee-seop, a third-generation chaebol who is perfect at everything except dating, and Kang Min-kyung, a secret weapon at TK Group. The series shares a universe with another adapted work, Taeyeon’s Lie, which features actor Lee Jun-hyuk as Tae Jun-seop.
Casting Updates and Future Projects
Previously, Lee Jong-suk and Choi Yoon-ji were in talks for the main roles, but they ultimately stepped down due to production schedule adjustments. As casting restarts, Hwang Min-hyun has emerged as a top candidate for the male lead. Hwang, who debuted with NU’EST in 2012, has built a solid acting filmography in South Korea with roles in Live On, Alchemy of Souls, My Lovely Liar, and Study Group.
