The End of Season Passes? Six Flags Debuts Subscription-Style Knott’s Berry Farm Membership
Theme park lovers, it is time to change how you pay for your adrenaline rushes. Following the massive 2024 merger between theme park giants, Six Flags has officially rolled out a brand-new, subscription-style Knott’s Berry Farm membership program. Launched this Monday, the program treats roller coasters like your favorite streaming service—offering continuous, year-round access that automatically renews month to month.

According to park officials, this regional and national multi-park rollout is designed to give families and thrill-seekers more bang for their buck across the integrated Six Flags and Cedar Fair network.
How Does It Work? Membership vs. Season Pass
The biggest shift with the new Knott’s Berry Farm membership is the expiration date—or rather, the lack of one.
While traditional season passes expire strictly at the end of the calendar operating year, memberships operate on an ongoing 12-month subscription model. You pay an initial fee plus your first month at purchase, followed by 11 monthly payments. Once your first year is up, the pass keeps running until you choose to cancel it.
Crucial Change for Budgeters: Six Flags is discontinuing standard payment plans for traditional season passes at participating locations. If you want to spread out your payments moving forward, switching to a membership is your only option.
Gold vs. Prestige: Choosing Your Tier
The program is broken down into two distinct flavors depending on how far you are willing to travel for a world-class drop tower.
| Tier | Monthly Cost | Regional Access | Perks Included |
| Gold Membership | $8 / month | All Six Flags parks in California, Arizona, and Mexico | Free parking at select parks, food & merch discounts |
| Prestige Membership | $20 / month | Over 30 parks nationwide (including Cedar Point) | Premium rewards, bring-a-friend deals, maximum discounts |
Whether you are looking to stay local at Knott’s Soak City or plan a cross-country roller coaster road trip, this model is built for frequent flyers who want maximum flexibility without dropping hundreds of dollars upfront.
