Singer Sung Si-kyung recently shared heartfelt advice and encouragement with the girl group NMIXX regarding their upcoming official debut in Japan.
On October 26, a new video titled ‘Sung Si-kyung’s Would Sing | NMIXX’ was uploaded to the official YouTube channel ‘Sung Si-kyung SUNG SI KYUNG’. During the episode, Sung Si-kyung welcomed NMIXX back to the show after a five-month hiatus and asked about the reasons behind their fast-paced comeback.
NMIXX answered honestly, revealing that they are realistically preparing for their upcoming Japan debut toward the end of the year. When member Haewon confessed that she feels quite nervous about the overseas venture, Sung Si-kyung reassured her by saying, ‘You will do just fine if you simply perform the way you always do.’
Continuing the conversation, the singer asked if any members currently speak Japanese fluently. NMIXX responded that they are studying diligently, but humorously added that their main concern is the lack of a fluent Japanese speaker among the group members.
Addressing their worries, Sung Si-kyung advised, ‘It seems you do not necessarily need to be fluent. Japanese fans genuinely appreciate seeing you put in effort. Unlike in South Korea where audiences often prefer a fully polished and complete image from the start, Japanese fans find deep emotional moving power in watching an artist grow and improve over time, so it might actually work to your advantage.’
