Group NMIXX, who has established themselves as pioneers on stage with their unrivaled MIXX POP and flawless live vocal skills, has transformed into six unfamiliar yet beautiful muses, sounding the fanfare of a brilliant festival.

NMIXX (Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, Gyujin) released all songs from their sixth mini album ‘Strange Muse’ and the music video for the title track ‘Birthday Wish’ on various online music sites at 6 PM on the 19th.

Starting with their debut song ‘O.O’ along with ‘Love Me Like This’, ‘DASH’, and ‘See that?’, NMIXX has built a solid position with experimental yet mainstream music. Last October, they achieved a career high by topping the Melon Top 100 daily and weekly charts for the first time since debut with ‘Blue Valentine’.

Succeeding in consecutive box office hits up to ‘Heavy Serenade’ released last May, NMIXX has returned after about 5 months with their 6th mini album ‘Strange Muse’, which encapsulates a more mature and deepened musical spectrum.

The title track ‘Birthday Wish’, which elevates NMIXX’s autumn sensibility to its peak, is a song where dreamy narration and an explosive melody harmonize over a diverse song progression. It contains the romantic sincerity of making a wish with all one’s heart for each other finally met after a long wait, and the rich sound that instantly captures the ears delivers a rushing emotion akin to the fanfare of a festival full of happiness.

The music video and choreography provide an immersion as if watching a beautiful movie. The six members, who appeared one by one in a space permeated by dreamy light, visually embodied the birth of new muses and a fateful encounter. In particular, the scenes of enjoying the happiest party because they are together, and running forward cheerfully while shouting as six members become one, make even the viewers smile and maximize the emotional depth of the song depicting a long-cherished beautiful wish.

This album is led by the title track ‘Birthday Wish’, along with the intense tracks ‘Kerosene’ and ‘RudE TaLK’. Above all, it features three unit tracks, marking the first time NMIXX has introduced unit songs since their debut, adding special meaning.

The members directly put their names on the credits of their respective unit songs, demonstrating their further evolved musical capabilities. ‘Sing to the Moon’, co-written by Lily and Haewon, is a ballad song highlighting the delicate vocal tones and deep emotional delivery of the two vocalists. ‘Hot ‘n’ Unbothered’, written by Sullyoon and Bae, newly showcases a cool yet mature chemistry between the two. ‘WHIP’, performed by the youngest line Jiwoo and Gyujin, explodes with the powerful voices and energy of the two members, with Gyujin even challenging herself in composition alongside lyric writing, proving NMIXX’s boundless musical expandability.

Going beyond blurring genre boundaries to now becoming true ‘muses’ who write and sing their own stories, expectations are high on the triple consecutive mega-hit streak that NMIXX will achieve with ‘Birthday Wish’.
