The prosecution decided on the 28th to drop its appeal regarding former National Security Office Chief Chung Eui-yong, former National Intelligence Service Director Suh Hoon, and former Unification Minister Kim Yeon-chul, who received suspended prison sentences in their appeals trial over the North Korean defectors forced repatriation incident.

However, the prosecution did file an appeal against former presidential Chief of Staff Noh Young-min, who was acquitted during the appeals trial.
