Park Ah-in Cast in tvN’s New Drama ‘My Guilty Man’

Acclaimed actress Park Ah-in is set to make a powerful transformation in her upcoming small-screen project. She has officially confirmed her casting in the highly anticipated tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘My Guilty Man’ (written by Moon Soo-jung, directed by Park Dan-hee).

The upcoming South Korean series follows a close-knit thriller romance centering around an arrogant third-generation chaebol targeted as a murder suspect, and a former special forces detective who goes undercover as his bodyguard.

Playing a Complex Chaebol Executive

In the drama, Park Ah-in takes on the role of Yoon Na-jung, the second of three siblings in the powerful Taekwang Group and an executive director of the conglomerate. Serving concurrently as the CEO of Taekwang Distribution, Yoon Na-jung is the older sister of Yoon Yi-jun (played by Im Si-wan). She embodies a heavy sense of entitlement coupled with a complex regarding her middle-child status.

Despite inheriting Taekwang Distribution, Yoon Na-jung believes she deserves far more. She continuously keeps a watchful, sharp eye on her younger brother, Yoon Yi-jun, who holds more power, creating intense dramatic tension. Viewers are eager to see how Park Ah-in utilizes her delicate emotional expression to portray Na-jung’s intricate psychological state and sharp demeanor.

A Proven Acting Spectrum Across Genres

Park Ah-in has continuously built her unique character portfolio across various genres in the South Korean entertainment industry. She previously captured attention as the confident yet witty cardiothoracic specialist Kim Eun-ji in ‘Descendants of the Sun’ and played Go Ae-soon, the spoiled cousin with a hidden narrative, in ‘Mr. Sunshine’.

Her powerful action and charisma shone brightly when she transformed into the mercenary-turned-killer Lily in ‘Vagabond’. She further solidified her expansive acting spectrum by portraying desperate, high-stakes emotional survival in ‘Sweet Home’. Her steady acting prowess continued to shine through diverse projects including ‘Moonshine’, ‘Wedding Impossible’, ‘Your Honor’, ‘Good Partner’, and her impactful portrayal of Park Hong-nan in ‘The Moon Flows in This River’.

Most recently, she received widespread acclaim for her role as home shopping host Ji Yoon-ji in ‘Sold Out Today’, capturing everything from a bright and confident persona to realistic feelings of inferiority in work and relationships.

With her track record of bringing distinct characters to life, anticipation is high to see what new side Park Ah-in will unveil in ‘My Guilty Man’. Her tense sibling dynamic with Im Si-wan’s character is expected to add an extra layer of suspense to the series.
