Pentagon reunion has officially happened as the South Korea-based group returns with all members together for the first time in three years. On September 11 at 6 PM KST, Pentagon released their 10th-anniversary single and music video titled ‘Coward,’ marking a monumental moment for the members and their fandom, Universe. Following the expiration of their contracts with Cube Entertainment in October 2023, the members pursued individual paths across different agencies. However, driven by a deep bond and a promise to their fans, they have reunited just ahead of their 10th debut anniversary.
The Meaning Behind the New Single ‘Coward’
Member Kino took charge of the lyrics, composition, and overall production for ‘Coward,’ which captures the emotional journey of overcoming fear to reconnect with someone deeply missed. The track mirrors Pentagon’s own narrative of returning to their fans after a three-year hiatus. Starting with a minimalist piano melody and expanding into a rich, hopeful soundscape, the song blends delicate lyrics penned alongside lyricist Kim Eana and Baek Eun-byeol. Member Shinwon noted that the song reflects the initial nervousness and hesitation they felt before stepping back in front of fans, encouraging listeners to focus on Hongseok’s sweet vocals.

With the release of the 10th-anniversary project single ‘Coward,’ Pentagon is preparing to meet global fans through their ‘PENTAGON 10th Anniversary Tour ‘101010” kicking off next month in cities like Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
