PepsiCo is raising the prices of popular snacks and beverages, including Doritos, Ruffles, and SunChips, just months after implementing price cuts to ease consumer burdens.

According to reports from Fox Business and other media outlets, PepsiCo plans to increase prices across select snack and beverage products by a single-digit percentage. While the price hike will affect items like Doritos, Ruffles, SunChips, and certain carbonated soft drinks, the company stated that prices will still remain lower than levels seen at the beginning of the year.

This latest price adjustment comes only months after PepsiCo lowered prices on select products such as Lays and Doritos by up to 15% in February. The company had previously adjusted its pricing strategy following heavy consumer backlash over soaring inflation and continuous price increases.

However, PepsiCo explained that rising raw material costs—including fuel, aluminum, and agricultural commodities—have made price adjustments unavoidable once again. The company also cited increased expenses stemming from tariffs and ongoing conflicts involving Iran as key factors behind the decision.

PepsiCo CEO Ramon Laguarta stated during a recent earnings call that while price cuts successfully brought some consumers back, third-quarter performance in the North American market fell short of expectations.

Frito-Lay snack sales remained flat compared to the same period last year, while North American beverage sales declined by 2%. Notably, flagship products like Pepsi and other carbonated soft drinks struggled to keep pace in a competitive market.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the current performance of the beverage division, Laguarta emphasized that the company will focus its resources on improving its soft drink business.

PepsiCo plans to reinvest cost-savings secured through operational efficiencies into major beverage brands such as Poppi, Mountain Dew, and Pepsi.
