Girl group Rescene has expressed their ambition to step beyond their reverse-running chart hits and evolve into a global K-pop group. Along with this lofty goal, they have also hinted at a new album release, signaling the continuation of their upward momentum.
Appearing on the October 11 broadcast of SBS ‘8 News’, Rescene shared various stories ranging from their thoughts on their recent chart-climbing popularity to their upcoming music and future goals.
When asked if they realize their popularity as multiple songs simultaneously climb the charts and enjoy long-term success, member Woni showed a shy reaction, saying, “Rather than realizing it, I still feel a bit shy.” She added, “When we go to events, the fans sing along to our songs. That’s when I feel it a little bit,” revealing that they are feeling their changed popularity through the enthusiastic responses of their fans.
In particular, Rescene recently made headlines by moving into a spacious 100-pyeong dormitory, highlighting their elevated status. Explaining the background behind their successive chart hits, the members pointed to their unique musical color. “Our music has had a story since our debut,” the members explained. “Songs containing narratives seem to have received a great response.” They added, “Our music has a message and a scent. The things we have worked hard on since the past are contained within the music. I think the power contained in the music is great.” In particular, Rescene expressed gratitude that their charms shown off-stage led to an interest in their music, saying, “Thank you for looking at our fun sides and even seeking out our music.”

The title of the new album is ‘PULSE’. As a word meaning heartbeat, it heralds music that will move fans’ hearts. Raising expectations, the members hinted, “When we think of the lyrics for the new album, we get choked up,” and “It will also connect with Rescene’s story.”
With an average age of 20, Rescene also shared bold ambitions for their future dreams. The members emphasized, “We want to maintain our fans’ love for a long time,” and “Rescene is only just beginning.” They further revealed their goals for the global stage, stating, “We want to climb higher and reach out globally.” In particular, they expressed their determination to receive global love with their own music, stating, “We want to become a group that leaves a mark on K-pop.”
