(G)I-DLE member Miyeon recently revealed her special connection with Japanese actor Sato Takeru. Their bond, which began through a music video and led to a fan meeting invitation, continued as the two took on a spicy food challenge together in Korea.
On the 6th episode of the web variety show ‘Jeondosa’, released on the 20th, Sato Takeru appeared as a guest under the title ‘Miyeon X Sato Takeru, Japan’s Prince Who Visited Korea Solely for Spicy Food.’
On this day, Miyeon warmly welcomed Sato Takeru as the show’s first Japanese guest. She showed special sincerity by preparing a gift herself to express her gratitude.
This was not the first time the two crossed paths. Miyeon and Sato Takeru previously formed a connection through a music video project, and Sato Takeru later invited Miyeon to his fan meeting.
Miyeon expressed her delight while recalling their multiple encounters over time. Sato Takeru also maintained their connection by appearing on the program hosted by Miyeon. Notably, Sato Takeru drew attention by revealing that he has visited Korea around 30 to 40 times. Explaining that he has friends in Korea, he mentioned that he usually communicates in English.

Although visiting Korea is familiar to Sato Takeru, it was revealed that he specifically made the trip this time to appear on ‘Jeondosa’, touching Miyeon deeply. Miyeon expressed her gratitude for Sato Takeru’s loyalty in traveling all the way to Korea for the show.
The two spent a unique time on this day tackling the spicy flavors of Korean cuisine. In particular, a commonality emerged as both admitted they struggle to eat very spicy foods, bringing laughter. Miyeon drew attention by revealing that she was trying gnat’s gizzard (chicken gizzard) for the very first time. After taking a bite of the unfamiliar dish, Miyeon expressed satisfaction, saying it was delicious. She added her thoughts on trying a new food, stating, “This is my challenge.” Watching the two individuals, who are weak to spicy foods, taste Korean dishes together added delightful entertainment.
From starting with a music video to fan meeting invitations and joint variety show appearances, the special bond between Miyeon and Sato Takeru continues to shine. The fact that the popular Japanese actor visited Korea specifically for Miyeon’s program, alongside their honest food-challenge experiences, captured much attention.
