Mnet’s Street World Fighter: Director’s War is heading into its highly anticipated live broadcast final, where the last remaining choreographers will battle for a single championship trophy.
Airing on the 20th, the final of ‘Street World Fighter’ (hereafter ‘S-DiFa’) features Bada, Baek Gu-young, Baby Zoo, and Kasper. Having survived numerous intense missions among the original 10 choreographers, they will present their final masterpiece warfare.
Bada, who is aiming to become Mnet’s first-ever dance series ‘double grand slam champion’ following ‘Street Woman Fighter 2’, shared her thoughts: “While winning is important, I want to show through my work until the very end what kind of director I am. I hope the emotions and messages of comfort packed into the stage become a source of strength for someone.”
Baek Gu-young, a 24-year-old veteran choreographer, expressed his determination: “It feels like stepping onto a stage I’ve dreamed of since I was young. Winning felt so far away, I never imagined it would come this close. I want to show my story and emotions entirely to everyone.”
Baby Zoo, the ‘hexagon director’ who secured his spot in the finals first during the semi-finals, stated his ambitions: “I will create a masterpiece with no regrets until the end and deliver a thrill with a fresh color unique to Baby Zoo that I haven’t shown before.”
Kasper, who earned the nickname ‘Lighting Genius’ for sensible stage direction, also showed fierce resolve: “Making it to the finals proves that the time I’ve walked up to now hasn’t been meaningless. I will approach this with the mindset of win or die.”
The final gateway to decide the ultimate winning director will be the ‘Cheer Performance Mission’, where the four finalists will incorporate their own directing styles using swimming, marathons, fencing, and e-sports as themes to present astonishing performances.
Meanwhile, online advance voting to determine the final winner closes at 6 PM on the 19th via the official YouTube channel ‘The CHOOM’. The live broadcast final of Mnet’s ‘Street World Fighter: Director’s War’, where the owner of the championship trophy will be crowned, will air simultaneously on Mnet and tvN at 10 PM on the 20th.
