Sung Han-bin from the group ZEROBASEONE recently opened up about why he chooses not to drink alcohol.
On October 16, a video titled "Hello Sung President~! So Glad to See You" was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Hyeri’s Club’.
During the episode, ZEROBASEONE member Sung Han-bin, who released his first solo debut album on October 12, appeared as a guest.
When Hyeri asked about his usual alcohol tolerance, Sung Han-bin replied, "I haven’t drank that much lately, but during my freshman year of college, I drank about a bottle and a half."
When asked if he normally dislikes drinking, he explained, "I don’t really like it, so I don’t drink. Plus, when I used to drink a lot, I gained a lot of weight."
Hyeri agreed, saying, "That’s right. Didn’t you go through a major diet?" As photos from his school days were revealed, Sung Han-bin acknowledged, "That’s right. I lost a lot of weight. Those photos seem to be from my middle and high school days. Back in my freshman year of college, I would drink and eat a lot of snacks, which made me gain a lot of weight."
He continued, "That’s when I realized that if I wanted to be an idol, I had to stay away from this. If a situation arises where I must participate, I might have a sip or two, but it’s rareβmaybe once or twice a year."
He added, "Recently, I got into draft beer (nama-biiru), so when I went to Japan, I had a little bit of it."
