The incredible three-peat record set by T1 Worlds theme song star ‘Faker’ Lee Sang-hyeok and his teammates, along with the untold stories of hardship and triumph behind it, will be spotlighted through the theme song of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship.
Riot Games Announces Know My Name
On September 30, Riot Games announced that the 2026 World Championship theme song ‘Know My Name’, which captures the journey of challenge and growth of Lee Sang-hyeok and T1, will be released with its official music video at 10 AM on October 9.
The upcoming music video centers on Lee Sang-hyeok, a symbol of LoL esports. It emotionally weaves together the historic three-peat achievement alongside the T1 roster, as well as the obstacles, defeats, and ultimate victories Lee faced along the way.
True Damage Performs the Anthem
Vocals and instrumentation for this year’s World Championship theme song were handled by Riot Games’ virtual hip-hop group ‘True Damage’. This marks the first time a virtual artist group from Riot Games has taken charge of a World Championship title track. Comprising five champions—Akali, Ekko, Qiyana, Senna, and Yasuo—True Damage features Soyeon of the K-pop group (G)I-DLE returning to voice Akali for this track.
True Damage is scheduled to perform the very first live rendition of ‘Know My Name’ during the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Championship finals, which will take place on November 15 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
