[OSEN=Kim Soo-hyung] Tarzan All Day Project recently made a healthy return to television, showing off unexpected vocal talent and contrasting charms after recovering from a shocking university festival stage fall accident.
On the October 9 broadcast of KBS2TV’s ‘Sung Si Kyung’s Ear Boyfriend’, the mixed-gender group All Day Project appeared as guests to chat with host Sung Si Kyung.
The members appeared much more relaxed compared to their previous appearance, sharing that they felt less nervous and creating an easygoing atmosphere. They also discussed the unique dynamic of being a mixed-gender group, describing themselves as being like five siblings who joke around with animal sounds to maintain closeness.
However, they also touched upon the musical challenges of a mixed group, explaining that blending different vocal tones naturally within a single track required considerable time and effort.
Amidst the conversation, Tarzan’s hidden musical background came to light. He revealed that he had an artistic streak since childhood and used Sung Si Kyung’s hit songs to boost his popularity during his school days, specifically mentioning the track ‘On the Street’ from his elementary school years.
Born in 2002, Tarzan recalled that although he didn’t fully understand the lyrics at the time, he loved the melody and frequently sang the song, jokingly adding that singing it usually guaranteed him a girlfriend the next day.
Tarzan then treated the audience and original singer Sung Si Kyung to a live rendition of ‘On the Street’. Showing a stark contrast to his usual powerful stage performances, he delivered the song with a sweet, emotional voice, leaving the original artist thoroughly impressed and amused.
Prior to this broadcast, Tarzan made headlines after suffering a fall during a performance at Konkuk University. While attempting a crowd-surfing stunt, the audience failed to catch him properly, causing him to drop to the ground. He quickly popped back up to check on the crowd’s safety, apologizing to those involved. Fortunately, he emerged from the incident without any major health issues.
Despite the initial scare from his unexpected fall, Tarzan successfully turned heads by proving his exceptional vocal skills and reimagining a classic ballad in his own unique style.
