The Korea Daily Announces Winners of the 45th Student Art Contest Presented by Bank of Hope

The Korea Daily has announced the winners of the 45th Korea Daily Student Art Contest, presented by Bank of Hope, the event’s title sponsor.

Established to celebrate creativity and artistic excellence among young students, the Korea Daily Student Art Contest has grown into a nationwide platform that welcomes young artists from across the United States.

This year’s competition attracted approximately 900 students nationwide, with participants submitting original artwork that reflected their creativity, imagination, and unique perspectives. After a comprehensive evaluation process, the final winners were selected across multiple categories.

The Grand Prize in the Youth Division was awarded to Minjun Roe, a 12th-grade student at Northgate High School, while Clayton Seojin Hwang, a 4th-grade student at Camino Grove Elementary School, received the Grand Prize in the Children’s Division.

The competition was judged by Professor Sunook Park of the College of the Arts at California State University, Long Beach, Heidi Jang, Director of the NXT Art Foundation, and artist Eddie Dai, an alumnus of Stanford University and the Yale School of Art. The judges evaluated each submission based on artistic excellence, originality, creativity, and overall composition.

The complete list of winners is available on the official KD Student Art Contest website at artcontest.koreadaily.com, as well as on KD Edu portal at edubridgeplus.com.

Beginning July 31, visitors can explore the winning entries through an online art exhibition on the contest website. Award-winning works—from the Grand Prize through the Korea Daily President’s Award—will also be featured in two interactive metaverse art galleries, allowing audiences to experience the artwork in a virtual exhibition space.

In addition, participating students can build digital portfolios and create custom merchandise featuring their artwork through a dedicated portfolio platform. The metaverse exhibition(metaverse exhibition I / metaverse exhibition II) and portfolio services are powered by Camille World, developed by the technology company Ohhh, helping young artists showcase their work to a global audience.

With a 45-year history of supporting student creativity, the Korea Daily Student Art Contest continues to evolve as a national youth art competition, connecting emerging young artists and providing a platform for students across the United States to showcase their talent.
