Group TWICE Nayeon has humorously named herself as the member who will likely tie the knot the absolute last.
Appearing on the November 4th release of the YouTube show ‘Heo Kyung-hwan’s Yoo Haeng Show,’ Nayeon shared her thoughts and honest opinions regarding romance and marriage.
Heo Kyung-hwan brought up the topic, mentioning that TWICE members previously discussed who among them would walk down the aisle last, and Nayeon was their pick. Nayeon explained that the members often chat for fun about who might get married first, though their predictions constantly change depending on the day.
When asked why she was chosen as the final one, she suggested it was probably because she doesn’t have a massive romanticized ideal of marriage. She added that she doesn’t have any concrete desires or specific plans for what kind of wedding ceremony she wants to hold.
When Heo Kyung-hwan asked her to pick which member would realistically get married last right now, Nayeon paused to think before pointing to herself. Even after mentally going through each member one by one, she concluded that it would still end up being her.
Nayeon confessed that, for now, she isn’t quite sure whether marriage is something she absolutely has to do. She added that the vision of settling down to build a family remains quite hazy in her mind at this stage.
The conversation also touched upon the marriage gifts the TWICE members discussed among themselves. Nayeon revealed they once joked about buying a wedding dress for the member who gets married first.
When Heo Kyung-hwan asked what the plan would be for the second member to get married, Nayeon shared her personal wish that all members attend the final wedding ceremony. She quickly noted, however, that this wasn’t a strict formal agreement made with the members, but rather just her own personal thought.
With nine members in total, she explained that they likely wouldn’t all rush into marriage within a short span, meaning the last wedding could take place far off in the distant future.
She expressed her hope that even if some members are busy raising children or living abroad by that time, everyone would still come together to celebrate and support the final member to marry.
Hearing this, Heo Kyung-hwan jokingly responded that it sounded like a subtle hint asking everyone to make sure they attend her own wedding someday, bringing plenty of laughter to the set.
