Group TWS (Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin) is temporarily wrapping up the journey of their self-produced variety show ‘TWS’ to dive headfirst into comeback preparations.
On October 6, TWS released a behind-the-scenes video for ‘TWS’ on their official YouTube channel. This compilation of unreleased footage from their weekly variety content, which began airing on Tuesdays last June, captured the members’ cheerful chemistry and variety show talents until the very end.
Through the video, TWS shared their thoughts, saying, “We were so happy to try experiences that we wouldn’t have easily attempted through ‘TWS.’ The moments of filming were always something we looked forward to.”
They added, “We are proud that we successfully brought to life the concepts we wanted to do and the images that 42 (fandom name) wanted to see,” and expressed their affection for the content by saying, “We are even more excited for the future of ‘TWS.’ We hope viewers and 42 will continue to watch over us.”
The released behind-the-scenes video drew attention by showing vivid, unseen moments from the shooting sets. Various episodes were unveiled, ranging from the ‘Psy Company’ segment where members brought laughter with quirky freestyle 5-line poems, to the ‘Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom’ segment where random deductions made before a mafia game all turned out to be correct, and the ‘Transfer Roommates’ segment where members couldn’t stop laughing at the non-stop flirting.
‘TWS’ showcased the group’s unique color by encompassing diverse subjects such as flying yoga, personal color diagnoses, short-drama challenges, and haunted house experiences. By taking on new concepts in every episode, including school and company-themed skits, the show captured the members’ natural variety talents and comfortable chemistry among the six of them.
Especially loved by fans as a ‘meal-friend variety show’ where they could enjoy the members’ unpretentious charms, the group also contributed to realizing the content’s public value by joining forces to run a missing child-finding campaign at the end of every video.
Taking a brief pause from ‘TWS’ after five months with fans, TWS will return to their main profession as musicians on November 2 by releasing their 2nd single album, ‘TO US.’
