Group TWS has captured the attention of fans by revealing a portion of their new tracks for the very first time.
On October 26 at 10 p.m., the highlight medley for TWS’s (Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Gyeongmin) second single ‘TO US’ was released via the official HYBE Labels YouTube channel.
The video features character versions of the six members performing missions to collect musical notes against the backdrop of their new songs. They navigate practice rooms, shooting sets, and the city as they head toward the stage eagerly awaited by their fandom, 42. With each song change, a new stage unfolds with different backgrounds and graphics, adding a visual treat. Above all, the video stands out by turning the journey toward the stage into a game.
Title Track and Musical Direction
The title track ‘Call My Name’ features a beautiful piano melody. Jazz pianist Yoon Seok-chul participated in the track, building smooth harmonies over the rushing rhythm of drum and bass. Lyrics like “Put all of my on the stage, on the stage” and “Throw myself without fear” convey the sincere determination of TWS to give their all on stage for 42, who believes in them. Members Youngjae, Shinyu, and Dohoon contributed to the lyric writing, infusing the song with their own honest stories.
B-Side Tracks and Message to Fans
‘WE UP’ is a track containing the ambition of TWS to soar to even higher heights. A synth bass and pad sound were added to a Miami Bass-based rhythm. Confident lyrics such as “Turn nothing to something” and “Encore after encore” harmonize with the characters breaking through obstacles together, delivering a refreshing thrill.
The final track, ‘heavy’, leaves a warm lingering impression with emotional vocals laid over a gentle pop sound. The message “Together we’ll keep it steady” offers comfort to those weighed down by the burdens of the world. The video concludes on a heartwarming note as the musical notes collected throughout the game light up the concert venue, and the members finally reunite with 42 on stage.
An industry representative stated, “‘TO US’, set to be released on November 2, honestly captures the worries and trial-and-error experiences of the six members as they find their own path. Through the most TWS-like stories, they will elicit deep empathy from their peers and once again prove their true value as a ‘youth icon’.”
