K-pop sensation TXT Global Citizen Festival appearance in New York’s Central Park was unexpectedly canceled due to severe weather, but the group quickly turned the setback into an unforgettable moment of fan love.
Originally scheduled as the sole Korean act to open the 2026 Global Citizen Festival on September 26 (local time), TOMORROW X TOGETHER quickly rented an indoor practice room after the outdoor event was called off. On the morning of September 27, they hosted a spontaneous ‘New York Practice Room Festival’ via Weverse Live streaming.
Despite lacking stage setups or flashy lighting and relying on a single fixed camera, the members showcased solid live vocals and dynamic performances, proving their prowess as an eighth-year K-pop powerhouse.
Surprise Setlist and Solo Performances
The broadcast featured the dancers lined up for the actual festival, perfectly executing the planned setlist. Performances included a traditional Korean-style rearrangement of ‘Sugar Rush Ride’, alongside crowd favorites like ‘Blue Hour’ and ‘0X1=LOVESONG’. Yeonjun, who was originally lined up as a solo artist, also delivered stunning renditions of his solo tracks ‘Talk to You’ and ‘Ice Cream’, driving global fans wild.
At the end of the performance, a surprise video teaser featuring the message ‘We need something different from before’ was revealed, raising anticipation for their future activities to the absolute maximum.
Upcoming World Tour and US Jingle Ball
Turning crisis into opportunity, TXT will kick off their world tour ‘TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR ‘STEAL THE WIND” at the Seoul KSPO DOME from November 13 to 15 before heading to Asia, North America, and Europe. Furthermore, in December, the group and Yeonjun will separately perform at the major US year-end shows, the ‘2026 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour’, in New York, Boston, and Washington D.C., continuing their unstoppable global momentum.
