Group TXT (Tomorrow X Together) is singing about their sincere determination to protect precious things even within harsh and desolate realities.
At midnight on the 24th, TXT officially released the tracklist for their 9th mini album ‘PERFECT STORM’ through their official social media channels. The album metaphorically explores youth yearning for change and feeling trapped through the contrast between a closed space and a blue sky. It features a total of six tracks, including the title song ‘Angel Bite’, ‘Something Else is Needed (Storm is…)’, ‘Higher Love’, ‘Sweetest Escape’, ‘Touch the Sky’, and ‘Hate It or Love It’.
The title track ‘Angel Bite’ is a signature TXT love song that captures the desire to stay by ‘you’ even in an imperfect youth. Cortis Martin, Juhoon, and Sunghyun participated in the production, expressing a firm resolve not to let go of their partner despite painful circumstances. The opening track ‘Something Else is Needed (Storm is…)’ declares a leap straight into the storm to break through a suffocating reality, while the third track ‘Higher Love’ expresses overwhelming emotions toward ‘her’, who simultaneously torments and guides ‘me’ to greater heights.
New unit combinations also stand out. Yeonjun, Taehyun, and Hueningkai’s ‘Sweetest Escape’ delivers a confession to become a sweet refuge for ‘you’ in a harsh world. Meanwhile, ‘Touch the Sky’, with lyrics co-written by Soobin and Beomgyu, compares ambition for success to a sky-like ‘you’. The closing track ‘Hate It or Love It’ reflects on how abandoning familiarity for change ultimately reveals the true ‘self’, featuring lyrical contributions from Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai.
The new album ‘PERFECT STORM’ dimensionally addresses the youthful pain of Generation Z, who face the weight of reality after passing through the illusions of their teens. While previous series like ‘The Dream Chapter’, ‘The Chaos Chapter’, ‘The Name Chapter’, ‘The Star Chapter’, and ‘minisode’ focused on the confusion and wandering of boys, this release expands its perspective to everyday pain and aspirations experienced by the same generation.
Meanwhile, TXT’s 9th mini album ‘PERFECT STORM’ is scheduled for official release on November 16 at 6 PM KST.
