The mother of Tzuyu dating rumor involving the Twice member has directly stepped forward to clarify the situation.
Taiwanese media outlets such as TBS reported on the 27th (local time) that businesswoman Huang Yen-ling, Tzuyuโs mother, recently addressed the dating rumors surrounding her daughter and revealed the true nature of their relationship.
Tzuyuโs mother posted a direct statement on her personal social media account the day before, writing, “Recently, rumors have been circulating online regarding Tzuyu and a male friend. As someone who has known this friend for a long time, I would like to share a few words.”
She explained, “He has always been a good friend to Tzuyu, a kind and sincere person who constantly supports and helps her. It is completely natural for friends to have meals together, go out, chat, and take care of one another.” She emphasized that they are simply long-time friends.
Tzuyuโs mother drew a firm line against the speculation, stating, “We should not excessively read into or make wild guesses based on just a few photos or videos. Please do not criticize or attack anyone based on unverified rumors.”
She also requested, “I hope everyone will show more interest in Tzuyu’s music and work, and give her and her friends some space to protect their privacy and mutual respect. Thank you for your understanding, and please stop unnecessary speculations here.”
Recently, suspicions arose on online communities and social media that Tzuyu was interacting closely with a male, triggering a dating rumor. Consequently, her mother stepped in directly to clear up the misunderstanding.
Meanwhile, Tzuyu’s group Twice has recently faced changes as members Jeongyeon, Chaeyoung, and Jihyo left JYP Entertainment. Tzuyu previously stated back in July that she was in talks for renewal with JYP.
