Ahead of this year’s Thanksgiving holiday, Walmart has introduced a 10-person holiday meal set priced at Walmart Thanksgiving meal 35 dollars. This marks the lowest price ever for such a holiday package since Walmart began offering them.
Walmart announced the ‘Holiday Meal Basket’ on the 28th, stating that it is about 5 dollars cheaper than last year while including 6 more items. Calculated per person, the cost comes out to roughly 3.50 dollars.
The set includes a Butterball turkey weighing about 13.5 pounds priced at 97 cents per pound, along with the ingredients needed to make stovetop stuffing, dinner rolls, sweet potato casserole, and pumpkin pie.
These items can be purchased at Walmart stores or ordered online all together in a single cart. Sales will continue through Christmas Eve. However, the 3.50 dollars per-person price advertised by Walmart does not apply in Alaska, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, and Wisconsin.
Other major retailers are also rolling out Thanksgiving meal sets this year. Aldi announced a 12-item meal for 10 people at under 39 dollars, while Target is offering a 6-person meal for 30 dollars. Sam’s Club introduced a meal package for 16 people priced at around 160 dollars.
Actual spending may vary depending on regional pricing, additional purchased items, taxes, and delivery fees.
