Group 4Minute former member Jeon Ji-yoon announced her marriage, drawing attention to the current updates of the other members.
On the 4th, Jeon Ji-yoon shared her marriage news on her SNS, saying, “Everyone, I am getting married in November. Having the word marriage come out of my mouth in my life makes me feel both shy and excited.”
She added, “I will continue to work hard as a writer and become someone who knows how to share the love I have received. I always listened to carols to enjoy the excitement at the end of the year, but it seems I won’t need to listen to them this year. Please look upon me with warm eyes.”
Jeon Ji-yoon debuted as a member of 4Minute in June 2009. The group gained immense popularity with girl-crush concepts and hit songs such as ‘Hot Issue’, ‘Muzik’, ‘What’s Your Name?’, ‘Volume Up’, ‘HUH’, ‘Whatcha Doin’ Today’, and ‘Crazy’. However, they disbanded in June 2016, failing to overcome the “7-year curse.”
With Jeon Ji-yoon’s marriage, the number of married members in 4Minute has increased to two. Previously, HyunA became the first married member of the group. HyunA married singer Yong Jun-hyung in October 2024. Following her marriage, HyunA was repeatedly swept up in pregnancy rumors due to a noticeable weight gain, which turned out to be false.
Nam Ji-hyun, the eldest member of 4Minute, is currently working as a barre instructor and businesswoman. Having started her career as a barre instructor in 2023, Nam Ji-hyun runs her private studio, continuing a new life away from being a singer or actress.
The second member, Heo Ga-yoon, is sharing her updates from Bali, Indonesia, after leaving Korea. After her older brother passed away in 2020, Heo Ga-yoon revealed that her attitude toward life had changed, saying, “I lived in many places trying to achieve my dream of becoming a singer since I was 14, and without realizing it, I controlled myself while minding adults’ eyes. I was caught up in compulsion, and it eventually exploded.” She mentioned that she is not retiring from the entertainment industry but is taking a long break.
The youngest member, Kwon So-hyun, signed an exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment and has been active as both an actress and a producer. Recently introducing herself as a 6-month employee at Cube Entertainment through her personal YouTube channel, Kwon So-hyun is known to be in charge of Japanese album production, planning, and A&R for the junior group LIGHTSUM.
