Eight out of ten best-selling albums around the world in 2022 were K-pop, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) said Tuesday.

โ€œProofโ€ by boy band BTS was the second most-sold album of 2022 according to the Global Album Sales Chart, making it the boy bandโ€™s third consecutive year to land on the Global Album Sales Chart. โ€œMaxidentโ€ by boy band Stray Kids landed at No. 4, followed by boy band Seventeenโ€™s โ€œFace the Sun,โ€ boy band Enhypenโ€™s โ€œManifesto: Day 1,โ€ girl group Blackpinkโ€™s โ€œBorn Pink,โ€ Stray Kidsโ€™ โ€œOddinary,โ€ Seventeenโ€™s โ€œSector 17โ€ and boy band Tomorrow X Togetherโ€™s โ€œMinisode 2: Thursdayโ€™s Childโ€ coming at No. 10.

Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jay Chouโ€™s โ€œGreatest Works of Artโ€ landed No. 1 and Taylor Swiftโ€™s โ€œMidnightsโ€ landed No. 3.
