The OZ8124 flight carrying 194 passengers left Jeju International Airport at 11:49 a.m. and landed at Daegu with one emergency exit open at 12:45 p.m. the same day.

No major casualties were reported. But nine were sent to the hospital for shortness of breath.

The Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency apprehended a man in his 30s who allegedly opened the door intentionally after the flight started to land on the runway. The police are currently investigating him for violating the Aviation Act.

โ€œWe are in the process of confirming the accident with the airline,โ€ a Daegu International Airport spokesperson told the Korea JoongAng Daily.
