OSEN DB.Kangin’s First Domestic Public Appearance in South Korea
Kangin, a former member of the popular K-pop group Super Junior, has officially broken a long hiatus by stepping onto a domestic public stage in South Korea, sparking widespread interest in his potential entertainment comeback.
On September 4, Kangin attended the ‘2027 S/S Seoul Fashion Week (SFW)’ GREEDILOUS show held at World Park, Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul. He appeared at the photo wall event prior to the show, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Return to Activities After Past Controversies
This event marks Kangin’s first official domestic public appearance since his departure from Super Junior in 2019. Debuting with the group in 2005, Kangin faced multiple controversies over the years, including involvement in an assault case and drunk driving incidents in 2009 and 2016, which led to a prolonged suspension of his entertainment activities and his eventual voluntary withdrawal from Super Junior.
Recent Global Music Releases and Fan Meetings
Before this domestic appearance, Kangin began slowly expanding his activities internationally. In April, he released the digital single ‘LOVE IS PAIN,’ a lyrical ballad he co-wrote and co-composed to express gratitude to those who stood by him. He also embarked on the ‘STUNNING TOGETHER’ fan meeting tour, greeting international fans in cities such as Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Mexico City, Lima, Santiago, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Tokyo.
With his recent music releases, global fan meetings, and now a high-profile return to a public event in South Korea, attention is firmly focused on whether Kangin will continue to expand his domestic promotional activities moving forward, as reported by OSEN.
