Samsung SDS Expands into Robotic Transformation and AI
At the Real Summit 2026 held in South Korea, Samsung SDS announced a major strategic expansion from Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX) into Robotic Transformation (RX), bringing AI control directly to physical manufacturing floors. CEO Lee Jun-hee revealed plans to launch a unified ‘robot orchestration platform’ by 2027. This system will integrate diverse manufacturing robots to collaborate seamlessly, ensuring production continuity even if individual units encounter faults. Initially targeting around 1,000 internal Samsung production lines, the company plans to scale this RX capability to over 430 external enterprise clients while actively pursuing global mergers and acquisitions.

Strengthening its footprint in the global tech ecosystem, Samsung SDS has become the first South Korean company to join OpenAI’s ‘Daybreak’ security framework. Leveraging OpenAI’s cutting-edge models, Daybreak automatically identifies software vulnerabilities, generates real-time security patches, and validates solutions. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman praised the pivotal role South Korean enterprises play in shaping the next chapter of global artificial intelligence during the event.
Advanced Enterprise AI Agents and Workplace Innovation
Alongside industrial automation, Samsung SDS is accelerating office productivity with the upcoming October launch of its enterprise AI agent, ‘Brity Works Cowork’. Designed to handle complex, multi-step tasks from initial research and reporting to email dispatch and scheduling based on high-level user goals, this tool redefines business operations. CEO Lee emphasized that true AX transcends mere time and cost savings, completely redesigning the foundational mechanics of modern business. The landmark event drew approximately 15,000 industry participants sharing cutting-edge enterprise AI strategies and deployment cases.
