IVE Delivers Encouragement to Busan International Film Festival Volunteers

The popular K-pop girl group IVE is sending warm encouragement to the hidden heroes of the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

According to their agency, Starship Entertainment, on the 4th, IVE participated in the BIFF volunteer launching ceremony held at the Busan Cinema Center’s Himmel Theater through a special support video. The video captures the members delivering heartfelt gratitude and encouragement to the volunteers who connect audiences and events throughout the festival, emphasizing that a single person’s small effort can become a new dream and courage for someone else.

Connecting with the ‘Girl Hero’ Concept for New Album

This initiative naturally aligns with IVE’s ‘Girl Hero’ concept for their upcoming mini-album, ‘Looks Can Kill’, set to be released on the 26th. By spotlighting volunteers who quietly dedicate themselves behind the scenes as ‘true heroes’, the group is sharing meaningful messages and positive energy ahead of their official comeback.

Their new album, ‘Looks Can Kill’, is an IVE-style spin-off project based on the concept of being a ‘girl hero’ who can deal a fatal blow simply by existing. Recently, they have been raising anticipation by releasing unique teasing contents, such as ‘one-line review posters’ reminiscent of film critiques.

Upcoming Release Schedule

Meanwhile, IVE will pre-release the sound source for their title track ‘Looks Can Kill’ on the 19th, followed by the official release of the mini-album of the same name on the 26th, returning to global fans.
