Actress Lee Se-young captivated audiences and heated up the scene at the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), seamlessly crossing over between film and a Disney+ original series.
Shining Bright at BIFF with Two Major Projects
Lee Se-young visited the Busan International Film Festival to connect with fans through diverse schedules, including outdoor stage greetings and a GV (Guest Visit), for the film Still Radiant and the Disney+ original series The Remarried Empress.
During the outdoor stage greeting for Still Radiant on October 8, Lee Se-young introduced her character Ji-an, the granddaughter of Soon-ok (played by Kim Hye-ja), and expressed deep affection for the project. She shared her heartfelt thoughts, stating, "Acting alongside the senior actress was like receiving a Christmas present. I always wanted to work with Kim Hye-ja and learn from her, so I am incredibly happy to have acted together in such a radiant project."
Transforming into Rashta for The Remarried Empress
On October 9 and 10, she attended the premiere screening, GV, and outdoor stage greeting for the first three episodes of the Disney+ original series The Remarried Empress, bringing the venue to a standstill. Lee Se-young described her character Rashta, who possesses both innocence and desire, saying, "Rashta is a charming character. I put a lot of thought into how she could receive love while simultaneously drawing hatred. I hope she can take charge of the viewers’ dopamine."
The event venue for The Remarried Empress was packed with massive crowds even before the official start, proving explosive anticipation ahead of its official release. Lee Se-young expressed her gratitude to each and every fan who visited the venue, showcasing her signature warmth and love for her supporters. Fans continually showered her with compliments, calling her "like a doll" as she showcased stunning and diverse visuals in Busan.
