Group IVE has heightened curiosity about their upcoming comeback through a unique concept photo.
Agency Starship Entertainment released the ‘Hero Comics’ version concept photos of Ray and Leeseo for the new album IVE Looks Can Kill on their official SNS channel on the 12th.
The newly released photos draw attention by evoking training scenes inside the previously opened ‘Hero Academy.’ Leeseo depicted a quirky superpower using her long hair for rope action, while completing a kitschy and playful character using a yo-yo and a doll. On the other hand, Ray showed off her strong power with bare-handed action and bandages, while also exuding a free-spirited charm with quirky poses such as holding a bucket and resting her leg on a bar while winking.
The unit cut, which stands out with unique direction, shined with the two members’ perfect chemistry. They reenacted a training scene with sharp gazes facing each other and dynamic movements, visually embodying IVE’s original hero narrative harmonized with fisheye lens distortion, comic book collages, and speech bubble effects. IVE is set to sequentially open ‘Hero Comics’ concept photos of other members on the 13th and 14th.
The new album ‘Looks Can Kill’ breaks the mold of typical heroes, depicts an expanded worldview, and delivers the positive message that ‘anyone can be the main character and hero in their own life.’ The title track ‘Looks Can Kill’ combines a heavy bass and electronic sound to present a fatal hitting feeling, and is expected to capture listeners’ ears with IVE’s signature confident presence and addictive chorus.
Meanwhile, IVE will pre-release the title track ‘Looks Can Kill’ on the 19th, officially release the mini-album of the same name on the 26th, and make a spectacular comeback.
