Actress Shin Min-a recently looked back on Joo Ji-hoon’s appearance in the past, sharing her thoughts during a recent interview.

On November 2, fashion magazine W Korea’s YouTube channel released an interview titled ’19 Years Ago Joo Ji-hoon vs. Current Joo Ji-hoon, What is Shin Min-a’s Shocking Remark?’ featuring the reunion of Shin Min-a and Joo Ji-hoon for their upcoming project ‘The Remarried Empress’.

During the interview, Joo Ji-hoon discussed Shin Min-a’s synchronization rate with her character Navier in ‘The Remarried Empress’. He stated, ‘Min-a and I have been working together for a long time across three projects now, and I think Shin Min-a possesses a natural elegance. That side of her fit the image of an empress perfectly.’ He added, ‘Even in daily life, she is very calm and collected, and whether she realizes it or not, every single word she says carries weight.’

Having previously collaborated on the drama ‘The Devil’ and the film ‘Kitchen’, Joo Ji-hoon and Shin Min-a are now working together for the third time in ‘The Remarried Empress’. Shin Min-a shared, ‘As for which side is more comfortable, having Joo Ji-hoon oppa around now is definitely much more comfortable.’

When asked about how Joo Ji-hoon has changed from the past to the present, she smiled and answered, ‘He was really pretty back then,’ a statement that Joo Ji-hoon readily acknowledged.

Shin Min-a explained, ‘Joo Ji-hoon oppa was truly pretty back during ‘The Devil’ and ‘Kitchen’, and he had such a vibrant, bubbly charm. He still has that charm today, but now he also possesses the coolness that comes with experience and seniority.’

She continued, ‘Since both of us now have a certain level of career experience and age, things have become a bit more comfortable. We know each other so well now, which makes it much easier.’ Joo Ji-hoon agreed, saying, ‘We have years of built-up history together. I also find things much more comfortable now.’

Talking about starring in their third project together, Shin Min-a remarked, ‘Do you know what? In all three of our projects, we’ve never played a complete, happy couple.’ Joo Ji-hoon humorously chimed in, ‘It’s a ruined romance.’ Furthermore, expressing his strong trust in his co-star, Joo Ji-hoon stated regarding future reunions with Shin Min-a, ‘It’s fantastic. If Min-a is cast in a role, there is no reason for me not to do it.’

The Disney+ original series ‘The Remarried Empress’, starring Shin Min-a and Joo Ji-hoon, is a romance fantasy epic that unfolds as Navier (played by Shin Min-a), the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, receives a divorce notice from Emperor Sovieshu (played by Joo Ji-hoon), who has fallen for the runaway slave Rashta (played by Lee Se-young). Refusing to simply accept the divorce, she demands approval for her remarriage to Prince Heinrey (played by Lee Jong-suk) of the Western Kingdom. The series is set to premiere on November 4.
