Recently, SHINee Minho promptly addressed and managed the situation following a marathon pacing controversy, and he is now set to reveal his triathlon challenge in Tongyeong through ‘I Live Alone’.
Scheduled to air at 11:10 p.m. on the 6th, MBC’s ‘I Live Alone’ will depict Minho participating in the ‘Triathlon’ held in Tongyeong and taking on an extreme challenge.
Known as the ‘Flame Man’, this marks Minho’s third participation in a triathlon. Amidst his busy schedule, he consistently maintained training in swimming, cycling, and running, solidifying his strong determination. In this competitionβconsisting of a 1.5km swim, a 40km cycle, and a 10km runβMinho stated, “My goal is to break my personal best record,” and stepped into a battle against himself by shouting, “NO excuses! NO whining!”
Attention is focused on whether Minho, who completed equipment checks the day before the competition and expressed excitement despite the rainy weather, will be able to reap the fruits of his passion.
Previously, Minho completed the 42.195km full course of the ‘2026 JTBC Seoul Marathon’ held on the 1st in 3 hours, 00 minutes, and 18 seconds, but subsequently became embroiled in a physical assistance controversy. Pointing out that a pacemaker running alongside him was captured pushing his back raised criticisms that it constituted a disqualification ground under World Athletics regulations.
As fairness controversies spread, Minho issued an official apology via SNS on the 3rd, stating, “Everything happened due to my shortcomings, and as someone who loves sports, I feel a great sense of shame. I will not accept the results of this marathon either.”
Following this, Minho’s side conveyed their intention to return the race record to the organizers, and the organizers accepted this, ultimately deciding not to provide an official record.
