Kim Do-sun, executive managing director, has been appointed as the new CEO of Nongshim America, which operates a manufacturing plant in Rancho Cucamonga, Southern California.
Nongshim America announced that it has promoted Kim, a production veteran who joined the company in 1992, to lead the U.S. operation.
The company stated that it expects CEO Kim to leverage his extensive experience managing production and supply chains at local plants in South Korea and China to strengthen the competitiveness of the U.S. subsidiary.
Former CEO Kim Kyung-jo, who assumed the role in December 2024, stepped down after leading the organization for 22 months.
Simultaneously, Nongshim America established the position of Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and appointed Lee Tae-jin as the inaugural head. Executive Managing Director Lee previously served as the head of LG Electronics’ Indonesia sales subsidiary until 2024 before joining Nongshim this April.
Meanwhile, Nongshim recorded nearly $200 million in domestic sales during the first half of this year, achieving a year-on-year sales growth of over 10%.
