Actor Lee Jae-wook is driving a massive box-office surge with his dense and multi-layered portrayal of a character undergoing gradual changes.

The Netflix series ‘The Great Part-Time Job,’ starring Lee Jae-wook, captured the attention of global viewers by ranking No. 4 in the global TOP 10 Non-English TV Shows just three days after its release.

Additionally, immediately upon its release, it claimed the No. 1 spot on ‘Today’s Top 10 Series in South Korea’ and entered the TOP 10 lists in a total of 51 countries, including Brazil, Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand, continuing its global box-office success.

Lee Jae-wook took center stage as Hyeok-jun, a young man who is forced into taking on a lucrative part-time job while chased by a mountain of debt. He realistically portrayed the psychological state of a person who discovers traces of his father in the job he started merely to survive and finds himself compelled to return to it despite facing life-threatening danger.

In particular, he deeply illustrated the inner self of a character who gradually changes as he consecutively encounters unexpected events. He smoothly expressed the complex emotional lines of resolving situations in his own way amidst confusion and anxiety, thereby giving strong persuasion to his character.

As such, Lee Jae-wook successfully completed the unique genre color of a ‘survival-based economic horror’ by handling everything from the worries of a youth entangled in debt and family issues to the intense action unfolding in a spine-chilling part-time job.
