Group MAMAMOO member Solar surprised crowds in the middle of Shinchon by unassumingly previewing her new song, demonstrating the pinnacle of her unrivaled vocal prowess.
According to her agency RBW, Solar successfully wrapped up her first solo busking event on the 6th in front of the U-PLEX main entrance star plaza at the Hyundai Department Store Shinchon branch in Seoul, celebrating the upcoming release of her new single ‘To My 20s (Harmonica. Hareem)’.
Amid explosive cheers from the audience, Solar kicked off the busking session with ‘Where the Wind Blows’ and ‘Only Longing Grows’, tracks from her ‘Solar Emotion’ series that reinterpret legendary songs in her own style. Her delicate expressive ability and heavy singing voice, combined with the original emotional depth, made passing pedestrians stop in their tracks.
The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the first-ever live performance of her new song ‘To My 20s (Harmonica. Hareem)’, slated for release on the 12th. Solar poured a warm message of comfort dedicated to those passing through their twenties straight into her vocals, delivering a deep resonance and touching lingering emotions to the audience.
She then transformed the Shinchon streets into a perfect concert venue with an unconventional tracklist, including the season-appropriate drama ‘Run On’ OST ‘Blue Bird’ and ‘Blues’, alongside MAMAMOO’s hit songs ‘Star Wind Flower Sun’ and ‘Decalcomanie’.
Proving her unique musical confidence and deepening capabilities through street busking, Solar is raising expectations for her future path as she heralds the birth of yet another masterpiece with her deepened emotional vocals.
Meanwhile, Solar’s new single ‘To My 20s (Harmonica. Hareem)’ will be released via various online music sites on November 12 at 6 PM KST.
