Authentic’s new girl band AIWEO (Dream, Dayoung, Hyunsu, Seoyu) is making their grand entry into the music scene today (the 1st) with the release of their first EP ‘BE MY HUG’ at 12 PM across various online music sites.
This debut album conveys a message of solidarity, starting from a small warmth shared between each other and extended to everyone living in the present. Notably, defying rookie norms, all four members directly participated in writing and composing every song, proving their limitless potential as a talented girl band.
The album features a total of seven tracks, including triple title tracks ‘Scratch’ (composed by Dream), ‘AIWEO’ (composed by Hyunsu), and ‘Shoelaces’ (composed by Dayoung), alongside ‘BE MY HUG’, ’00FF00′, ‘BE FELT’, and ‘Shade Flight’. Particularly, the title track ‘Shoelaces’ features lyrics by labelmate senior singer-songwriter Hanroro, adding a layer of warm and tender comfort.
AIWEO generated massive buzz even before their official debut. The pre-released music videos for ‘AIWEO’, ‘Shoelaces’, and ’00FF00′ surpassed 2.51 million, 1.29 million, and 1.21 million views respectively on the official YouTube channel, achieving a combined view count of over 5 million.
In the concurrently released concept photos, all four members stylishly wore black hats, creating a unique and edgy visual identity exclusive to AIWEO.
Following their official debut, AIWEO is slated to perform live on stage at the opening of the rivet stage for Korea’s largest J-pop festival, ‘WONDERLIVET 2026’, held on November 20.
