Korean film Assassins movie has achieved a remarkable box office rebound, proving its enduring popularity by climbing back to the top of the Korean box office in its 6th week of release.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing network, Assassins recorded a cumulative total of 3,453,120 viewers as of 7 AM on Tuesday, November 3, claiming the number one spot in daily box office rankings. Surpassing competing titles well past its first month in theaters, the movie demonstrated impressive staying power. Having previously topped the weekly box office for five consecutive weeks, it continues to draw audiences into its sixth week.
After surpassing its break-even point on Thursday, October 29, by clearing 3.4 million cumulative viewers, the film has maintained steady momentum driven by positive word-of-mouth.
The sustained turnout long after the initial opening weekend underscores the organic momentum created by audiences rather than initial hype alone, raising anticipation for the final box office milestone the film will ultimately reach.
In addition to its domestic success, Assassins has been drawing significant international attention.
Earlier in its run, the film was invited to the Gala Presentation section of the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, selling out all public screenings and earning a runner-up spot for the International Audience Award. It has since been invited to numerous international events, including the 28th Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival, the 37th Singapore International Film Festival, the 21st Paris Korean Film Festival, the 46th Hawaii International Film Festival, and the 29th Philadelphia Film Festival. Notably, it served as the opening film for the Paris Korean Film Festival, where tickets sold out completely within three minutes of release.
