[OSEN=Kang Seo-jung] The main poster for ‘Bogum Magical 2’ has been released, announcing a fresh new start for the trioβPark Bo-gum, Lee Sang-yi, and Go Kyung-pyoβand raising anticipation for the premiere.
Scheduled to premiere at 7:45 PM on the 29th, tvN’s ‘Bogum Magical 2’ (directed by Son Soo-jung) follows ‘Director Park’ Park Bo-gum, Lee Sang-yi, and Go Kyung-pyo as they run a special hair and wellness shop in a small seaside village. After sharing warm affection in Muju during the winter last season, the three are back for a new venture in Tongyeong, filled with blue seas and refreshing summer vibes.
The newly unveiled main poster captures Park Bo-gum, Lee Sang-yi, and Go Kyung-pyo fully prepared to welcome guests. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Tongyeong with its blue sky, ocean, and yellow flowers, the trio poses side by side in aprons, creating a scene straight out of a youth film. Individual posters highlighting each member’s unique charm were also revealed. They preview the active roles of Park Bo-gum, a skilled and seasoned hairdresser; Lee Sang-yi, a passionate nail artist exceeding expectations; and Go Kyung-pyo, a cheerful chef spreading positive energy.
First, ‘Director Park’ Park Bo-gum returns with even more growth, having added a national hairdresser license to his previous barber license. Overcoming a notoriously low pass rate and succeeding on his second attempt, he shared his thoughts on passing, saying, “It was totally worth practicing at least 4 hours a day. This time, I really focused on cutting down my time.” He added, “Now that I’ve earned my hairdresser license, I wanted to gift our customers a wonderful day through an even wider variety of hair styling services.”
He also opened up about the real-world challenges he faced. Managing different hair conditions and lengths for each customer while choosing the right rollers proved difficult. He expressed deep gratitude to Lee Sang-yi and Go Kyung-pyo for helping him whenever he felt nervous or overwhelmed, showcasing the trio’s strong bond.
Lee Sang-yi, who captured hearts last season as a beloved variety star, returns as an even more professional nail artist. Preparing for Season 2, he shared, “I feel a greater sense of responsibility. I practiced even harder to provide better service and skills as a nail artist.” He also expressed his excitement, saying, “I’m so happy and grateful that we were able to gather again so quickly before the year ends.”
When asked about the unique charm of ‘Bogum Magical’, Lee Sang-yi stated, “I want to use the words ‘real’ and ‘sincerity’. I believe we operated the barbershop with ‘sincerity’. I think that kind of sincerity is the biggest charm of ‘Bogum Magical’.” This season, he plans to offer an expanded range of services, including magnetic nail art, delicate manicures, pedicures, and skincare.
Go Kyung-pyo joins the new season as a reliable helper supporting the two hairdressing directors and as the chef in charge of the trio’s meals. Sharing his thoughts on joining, he said, “It was great to work with Park Bo-gum and Lee Sang-yi. If you can share fun times and warm moments with good people, there was no reason to turn it down.” He introduced his role by adding, “I was in charge of meals for the two directors and also prepared snacks for incoming guests.”
The chemistry of the newly formed trio with Go Kyung-pyo’s addition is a key highlight this season. Park Bo-gum expressed comfort with Go Kyung-pyoβwhom he has known for a long time alongside close friend Lee Sang-yi from Season 1 and through projects like the drama ‘Reply 1988’βsaying, “It felt like we had always been together. It was reassuring knowing we all share the same desire to cherish and look out for one another.” He also noted the different charms of Kwak Dong-yeon from the Muju season and Go Kyung-pyo from the Tongyeong season.
Lee Sang-yi similarly shared his appreciation for Go Kyung-pyo, calling him a “very reliable older brother.” He praised him, saying, “Kyung-pyo hyung stepped in to solve problems or give advice on things Park Director and I didn’t know well, and his cooking skills were amazing.” He added, “His witty personality, conversational skills tailored to the elderly, and generous heart were wonderful to see.”
Go Kyung-pyo shared that spending time together brought them even closer. He stated, “Although Bo-gum and Sang-yi were already personal friends, spending this time together allowed us to get to know each other better, deepen our relationships, and feel a strong sense of closeness. It made me appreciate both of my friends even more,” building anticipation for their exceptional chemistry.
