Everland’s youngest panda family member, baby panda Subao, stepped out into the Panda World enclosure at 10 a.m. on the 30th to meet general visitors for the first time. Born in June and now about five months old, Subao explored every corner of the enclosure to begin her adaptation training. Visitors armed with cameras equipped with telephoto lenses continuously clicked their shutters to capture Subao’s cute gestures.
Subao is the fourth daughter born through natural breeding in June by mother panda Ibao and father panda Lebao, following Fubao in 2020 and twin sisters Ruibao and Huibao in 2023. Her name, Subao (ζε―Ά), meaning “a treasure bright like the dawn,” was chosen through a national public vote in September when she reached 100 days of age. Her weight, which was 171g at birth, has now surpassed 9kg.
Panda World viewing is available starting at 10 a.m., but Subao’s viewing hours remain flexible. Everland plans to gradually increase public viewing times and visitor numbers, prioritizing Subao’s stable adaptation.
