Girl group BABYMONSTER has proven their immense global firepower by surpassing 200 million views with the music video for their song ‘CHOOM’.
According to YG Entertainment on the 12th, the music video for ‘CHOOM’, the title track of BABYMONSTER’s 3rd mini album, exceeded 200 million YouTube views around 9:30 a.m. that day. This milestone was achieved in about five months since its release on May 4th.
The ‘CHOOM’ music video received explosive critical acclaim from global fans for showcasing high-quality visual aesthetics, featuring dynamic choreography fitting the song’s title, overwhelming large-scale group dances, and sensational set designs.
Immediately after its release, it went straight to No. 1 on YouTube’s worldwide trending list, followed by topping the ‘Most Watched Video in 24 Hours’ and global YouTube daily popular music video charts, demonstrating unstoppable momentum. Furthermore, the ‘CHOOM’ performance video, which captures the members’ unrivaled dance skills, is currently nearing 97 million views and closing in on 100 million, continuing a ‘twin-engine popularity’ where the music video and performance video create explosive synergy together.
With this, BABYMONSTER now holds a total of 10 videos with view counts exceeding 200 million. Their official channel subscriber count, which broke 10 million in the shortest period for a K-pop girl group (1 year and 5 months since debut), has also steadily surged following the release of their 3rd mini album, approaching 13.4 million. Their cumulative view count has similarly broken records, achieving the shortest time for a K-pop girl group single channel to surpass 10 billion views.
Amidst this upward trend, BABYMONSTER plans to add momentum to their solo dominance by officially releasing new music at 1 p.m. on the 23rd. Having previously hinted at a more dreamy and mysterious transformation through teaser posters, anticipation is soaring over what original concept they will use to captivate domestic and global music markets.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER successfully wrapped up their performance at Kyocera Dome Osaka during their second world tour ‘2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM]’, and they are set to meet local fans through a large-scale world tour spanning 31 shows across 18 cities in 5 continents, starting in Jakarta on the 17th.
