A Korean man was arrested by police after being found in possession of hundreds of photos and videos containing child exploitation material.

The Franklin Police Department in Virginia announced on the 29th that they arrested 48-year-old Donald Lee of Richmond on the 28th on nine counts of distributing child exploitation material.

According to police, the investigation was conducted using online undercover methods. From September of last year to July of this year, undercover investigators received child exploitation materials from Lee and pursued the investigation through Internet Protocol (IP) address tracking.

On the 16th, Franklin police, in a joint operation with the Richmond Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), executed a search warrant at a residence located on the 2000 block of Fairmount Avenue in Richmond.

Multiple computers and external storage devices were seized at the scene. Digital forensic analysis revealed approximately 300 photos and videos depicting child sexual exploitation on a USB storage device confirmed to belong to Lee.

Police obtained nine felony arrest warrants for Lee on the 27th and apprehended him the following day, the 28th.

Lee is currently being held at the Richmond City Jail without bond.
