Cynthia Gonzalez, Vice Mayor of Cudahy, is under federal investigation after a TikTok video surfaced in which she called on gangs like 18th Street and Florencia 13 to defend their โhoodโ from ICE raids in Los Angeles according to FOX News.

In the now-deleted video, Gonzalez said: โWhere all the cholos at?โฆ Donโt claim no block if youโre not showing up to organize.โ She later posted, โThe FBI just came to my house. It was about a TikTok.โ
The City of Cudahy distanced itself, saying her comments donโt reflect the cityโs position.
The Los Angeles Police Protective League and Department of Homeland Security condemned the remarks, citing a 500% rise in assaults on ICE officers and urging her resignation and prosecution.
ICE and DHS officials called her comments โdangerous and despicable,โ linking them to increased threats against federal agents.
Protests against ICE raids continue in Los Angeles and Orange County, with recent detentions in Pasadena and reports of ICE appearing at schools, courthouses, and workplaces.
