LA religious and immigrant groups recently concluded a 96-mile ICE detention center march to demand the immediate closure of controversial immigration detention facilities.
Approximately 300 participants departed from the Adelanto ICE Detention Center on the 29th of last month, walking 12 to 16 miles daily before arriving at the Los Angeles downtown Metropolitan Detention Center and the Federal Building on the 6th.
During the demonstration, participants carried picket signs bearing the names of victims, crosses, and flowers to raise awareness about poor detention conditions and reported deaths in custody.
